NYFW SS17: Through Louisa Warwick’s Eyes

Ah New York, New York. The concrete jungle where dreams are made of, and it’s true- there’s nothing you can’t do.

But unfortunately, attending New York Fashion Week wasn’t possible for me this time round. So, instead, I engaged the next best thing and enlisted an eagle eye for behind the scenes and on the runway access- my good friend, previous interviewee and renowned fashion model, Louisa Warwick.

Over the course of the occasion, Louisa stole the show on the catwalks of Minan Wong and Niki Stavia- whom she stated “had some of the most beautiful designs I’d ever worn”.

During our discussion, the lovely Louisa declared her favoured hairstyle of NYFW to be a “fishtail bun and loose curls”, which she wore for one of her five shows- Samantha Leibowitz.

In regards to other New York Fashion Week events, the blonde beauty declared she “loved the Marc Jacobs show”, and agrees that Alice + Olivia’s designs were “beautiful”!

Warwick shortly revealed her Fashion Week essentials, her list consisting of every girl’s go-to’s: lip balm, a phone charger, your wallet and phone!

And now it seems like New York Fashion Week was a world away. Overseeing Fashion Month via the front row, backstage or social media projects a different outlook on the occasion, so I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the event through major model, Louisa Warwick’s eyes.

I’d also like to thank Louisa for collaborating with Models on Trend on this article!
